adṛśyantīṃ punaḥ prāha śākteyo bhagavānmama mātaḥ kutra mahātejāḥ pitā vada vadeti tām
Suta (narrating the episode; the direct speech is by Śākteya)
It frames the seeker’s longing to know the supreme Father (Pati) behind manifest power, preparing the mind for Linga-centered contemplation where the unseen Absolute is approached through a visible sign.
Shiva-tattva is implied as “mahātejas” and not immediately visible—transcendent and subtle—known through earnest inquiry and the Mother’s revelatory grace, reflecting Pati beyond sense-perception.
A core Pāśupata attitude is shown: intense questioning (jijñāsā) and single-pointed yearning for Pati; as a practice, it supports dhyāna on the unseen Shiva through the Linga as an aid.
