इति श्रीलिङ्गमहापुराणे पूर्वभागे पञ्चयज्ञविधानं नाम षड्विंशो ऽध्यायः शैलादिरुवाच वक्ष्यामि शृणु संक्षेपाल् लिङ्गार्चनाविधिक्रमम् वक्तुं वर्षशतेनापि न शक्यं विस्तरेण यत्
iti śrīliṅgamahāpurāṇe pūrvabhāge pañcayajñavidhānaṃ nāma ṣaḍviṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ śailādiruvāca vakṣyāmi śṛṇu saṃkṣepāl liṅgārcanāvidhikramam vaktuṃ varṣaśatenāpi na śakyaṃ vistareṇa yat
وهكذا ينتهي، في القسم الأوّل (پُورڤابهاگا) من «شري لينغا مهاپورانا»، الفصل السادس والعشرون المسمّى «تشريع القرابين الخمسة». قال شَيْلادي: «سأبيّن—فاسمعوا بإيجاز—ترتيبَ آداب عبادة اللِّينغا، فإن ما لا يُستطاع استيفاؤه تفصيلاً لا يُستوفى ولو في مئة سنة».
