Adhyaya 17: लिङ्गोद्भव—ब्रह्मविष्ण्वहङ्कार-शमनं, ओंकार-प्रादुर्भावः, मन्त्र-तत्त्वं च
पुरुषं परमात्मानं पुरुहूतं पुरुष्टुतम् विष्णुमच्युतमीशानं विश्वस्य प्रभवोद्भवम्
puruṣaṃ paramātmānaṃ puruhūtaṃ puruṣṭutam viṣṇumacyutamīśānaṃ viśvasya prabhavodbhavam
هو البُروشَ (Puruṣa)، الذاتُ العليا—يُستدعى من كثيرين ويُسبَّح من كثيرين؛ هو فيشنو الساري في كل شيء، أَچْيُوتَ (Acyuta) الذي لا يسقط؛ وهو إيشانا (Īśāna) السيدُ المتسلّط؛ منه ينبثق الكون وبه يتجلّى ويُولَد.
