FAQs

Indirectly: it emphasizes the measurable फल (karmic result) of devotion—honor in Rudraloka—rather than defining Ātman; in the Kurma Purana’s synthesis, such devotion is a means that can mature into higher knowledge.

No specific technique is taught in this verse; it functions as a phala-śruti that supports Rudra-bhakti (devotional discipline), which elsewhere in the Kurma Purana is integrated with Śaiva observances and yogic self-restraint.

By presenting Rudraloka and the honor gained through Rudra-devotion within a Vaiṣṇava Purāṇa framework, it reflects the Kurma Purana’s non-sectarian stance where devotion to Rudra is upheld as spiritually efficacious within the broader unity of Hari and Hara.
