FAQs

Indirectly: it stresses that ignorance (moha) blocks true knowledge; without right understanding, even sacred acts like teaching become spiritually harmful—implying that realization requires correct knowledge and discipline.

No specific āsana or dhyāna is named; the verse highlights adhyayana (disciplined study) as a foundational sādhana. In Kurma Purana’s broader synthesis, such śāstra-jñāna supports later yogic and Pāśupata-oriented practice by ensuring right view and qualified instruction.

It does not explicitly mention Śiva or Viṣṇu; its takeaway aligns with the Purāṇa’s non-sectarian ethic: authentic dharma and liberating knowledge depend on proper understanding and qualified transmission, regardless of whether one approaches through Śaiva or Vaiṣṇava frameworks.
