عند التطهّر بعد قضاء الحاجة، فليُستحضَر هري القائم في فايُو، ريح الحياة. وعند ارتداء الثياب، فليُستحضَر هري بصفته أوبيندرا (Upendra).
Lord Vishnu (teaching Garuda)
Concept: Sanctifying routine acts (cleansing, dressing) by meditating on Hari as the indwelling regulator of prāṇa (Vāyu) and as Upendra.
Vedantic Theme: Antaryāmin doctrine: the Lord pervades vital functions; purity is ultimately grounded in inner remembrance rather than mere externality.
Application: After cleansing, recollect Hari as present in the vital wind; while putting on clothes, invoke Hari as Upendra to maintain devotional continuity.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bibhatsa
Type: śaucāgāra/riverbank or washing place; then dressing area
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.29 (smaraṇa mapped to daily acts: ācamana, vastra, yajñopavīta, ārati, etc.)
This verse links bodily purification with mental purification by prescribing Hari-smaraṇa, specifically as immanent in Vāyu (prāṇa), so routine acts become dharmic and spiritually focused.
By emphasizing prāṇa (Vāyu) and remembrance, it points to inner discipline: the soul’s well-being is supported by purity and steady devotion, which the Garuda Purana repeatedly treats as essential for favorable post-death outcomes.
Turn daily hygiene and dressing into brief moments of mantra or mindful remembrance of Vishnu—building consistent devotion and purity without needing extra ritual time.
