प्राणस्त्वहङ्कार एव अहङ्कारकसंज्ञकः / गरुत्मदंशो विज्ञेयः कामेन्द्राभ्यां दशाधमः

prāṇastvahaṅkāra eva ahaṅkārakasaṃjñakaḥ / garutmadaṃśo vijñeyaḥ kāmendrābhyāṃ daśādhamaḥ

إنَّ البرانا (prāṇa)، نَفَسَ الحياة، هو عينُ الأَهَنْكارا (إحساسُ «أنا») المسمّى «أَهَنْكارَكا» صانعَ «الأنا». ويُعلَم أنّه جزءٌ من غارودا؛ وهو أدنى العشرة، تحكمه الكاما (الشهوة) وربُّ الحواسّ (إندرا/الإندريا).
