Lord Vishnu (speaking to Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Śrī’s lordship derives from inseparable indwelling in the Lord; sovereignty is remembered for the three who sustain others and are served.
Vedantic Theme: Śakti–Śaktimān abheda (inseparability of power and possessor); dependence of beings on sustaining principles.
Application: Cultivate devotion with proper tattva-krama: honor Lakshmi as inseparable from Narayana; recognize sustaining deities/realities as service-worthy without collapsing them into the Supreme.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Type: divine abode

This verse grounds lordship in two markers: intimate inseparability with Īśvara (as said of Śrī/Lakṣmī) and being worthy of service because one sustains others (upajīvyatva) and is rightly served (sevyatva).
It indicates that those who truly sustain life and are intrinsically connected to the Supreme are proper objects of service and reverence, framing devotion as aligned with cosmic order rather than mere power.
Direct service and reverence toward the divine and toward dharmic sustainers (teachers, caregivers, protectors of wellbeing), and avoid giving authority to what does not support ethical and spiritual life.
