अलं दग्धैर्द्रुमैर्दीनै: खिलानां शिवमस्तु व: । वार्क्षी ह्येषा वरा कन्या पत्नीत्वे प्रतिगृह्यताम् ॥ १५ ॥
alaṁ dagdhair drumair dīnaiḥ khilānāṁ śivam astu vaḥ vārkṣī hy eṣā varā kanyā patnītve pratigṛhyatām
لا حاجة إلى إحراق هذه الأشجار المسكينة بعد الآن؛ فليكن لمن بقي منها السلام والخير، وكونوا أنتم أيضًا سعداء. هذه هي «مريشا» فتاة جميلة مؤهلة ربّتها الأشجار كابنة؛ فاقبلوها زوجةً لكم.
Vārkṣī is the named maiden offered in marriage in this verse, presented as an excellent and suitable wife within the creation/progeny narrative of Canto 6, Chapter 4.
