Prahlāda Rejects Demonic Diplomacy and Proclaims Navadhā Bhakti
इत्युक्त्वोपरतं पुत्रं हिरण्यकशिपू रुषा । अन्धीकृतात्मा स्वोत्सङ्गान्निरस्यत महीतले ॥ ३३ ॥

بعد أن تحدث براهلادا وصمت، قام هيراناكاشيبو، الذي أعماه الغضب، بإلقاء ابنه من حضنه إلى الأرض.
Because he was blinded by rage at Prahlāda’s unwavering devotion and perceived disobedience, he violently cast the silent child from his lap to the ground.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates this event to Mahārāja Parīkṣit.
Uncontrolled anger and ego can make a person irrational and cruel; cultivating devotion, humility, and self-control prevents such blindness of the heart.
