The Rise of Soma-vaṁśa: Budha’s Birth and Purūravā–Urvaśī; The Origin of Karma-kāṇḍa in Tretā-yuga
tatyāja vrīḍitā tārā kumāraṁ kanaka-prabham spṛhām āṅgirasaś cakre kumāre soma eva ca
This verse states that out of shame Tārā left the newborn son, and immediately both Bṛhaspati and Soma asserted claims over the child.
Because the child was born from the controversy involving Tārā, the wife of Bṛhaspati, and Soma; thus each considered the boy to be his own, leading to a dispute.
It highlights how breaches of dharma and fidelity can create social conflict and suffering, urging responsibility, truthfulness, and restraint in relationships.
