In 11.28.39, Kṛṣṇa explains that disturbances (upasargas) can be burned away by different disciplines—especially concentrated dhāraṇā, posture with mental fixation, austerity, mantra, or even medicinal remedies.
Kṛṣṇa is instructing Uddhava on practical sādhana: seekers encounter impediments, and the Bhagavatam acknowledges multiple authorized means to remove them so one can steadily advance toward realization.
Maintain steady daily concentration (dharana) through a consistent practice—such as breath-awareness with a stable posture—and support it with mantra-japa and disciplined lifestyle choices to reduce distractions and inner agitation.
