manv-antarānukathanaṁ gajendrasya vimokṣaṇam manvantarāvatārāś ca viṣṇor hayaśirādayaḥ
This verse states that the Bhagavatam recounts the Manvantaras and the specific incarnations of Lord Viṣṇu that appear in each Manvantara, beginning with forms such as Hayagrīva.
The verse highlights that the Bhagavatam includes Gajendra’s liberation, emphasizing the Lord’s readiness to rescue a surrendered devotee and grant deliverance.
It points to the practical principle of śaraṇāgati—taking wholehearted refuge in God during crisis—cultivating humility, prayerful remembrance, and trust in divine protection.
