Forth from the stepping onward—if he be not ill-baked—(yea) from the well-heated, and from the cooked oblation, mount ye to the third heaven. Upon Agni hath Fire firmly come to be: win ye this luminous world for your portion.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (sūkta attributed in later indices to Atharvan/Angiras-type seers; exact r̥ṣi assignment depends on Anukramaṇī for AVŚ 9.5).
Devata: Agni; also the ‘luminous world’ (jyotiṣmat-loka) as goal-deity.
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence (edition-dependent; AV often shows mixed/irregular triṣṭubh in such svargya passages).
{"primary_rasa":"vira","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_arc":"From caution (ill-baked) to confident ascent and victory.","listener_experience":"Energized, upright, ‘ready to climb’.","intensity":7}
