यः प्रथमः कर्मकृत्याय जज्ञे यस्य वीर्यंऽ प्रथमस्यानुबुद्धम्। येनोद्यतो वज्रोऽभ्यायताहिं स नो मुञ्चत्वंहसः

yáḥ prathamáḥ karmakṛ́tyāya jajñé yásya vīryàṁ prathamásyānubuddhám | yénodyató vájro ’bhy ā́yatā́hiṁ sá no muñcatv áṁhasaḥ

He who was born the first for deed and counter-deed, whose heroic might, the firstling’s, is acknowledged; by whom the uplifted bolt rushed forth against the Serpent—may he release us from distress and sin.

هو الذي وُلِدَ أوّلًا للفعلِ ولِدَفْعِ الفعل (الكِرْتْيَا kṛtyā)؛ والذي تُعرَفُ وتُقَرُّ بسالتُه، بسالةُ البِكْر؛ والذي به اندفعَ الفَجْرُ المرفوع، الفَجْرُ (vajra) نحو الحيّة—فليُطلِقْنا من الضيق والإثم.
