Sukta 4
परा यात पितरः सोम्यासो गम्भीरैः पथिभिः पूर्याणैः । अधा मासि पुनरा यात नो गृहान् हविरत्तुं सुप्रजसः सुवीराः
párā yāta pitaraḥ somyā́so gambhīráiḥ pathíbhiḥ pūryā́naiḥ | ádha mā́si púnar ā́ yāta no gṛhā́n havír áttum suprajā́saḥ suvī́rāḥ ||
Depart, O Fathers, soma-loving, by the deep paths, the ancient ways. Then, in the month, come ye again unto our homes to eat the oblation—ye of good progeny, ye of good heroes.
انصرفوا، أيها الآباء (Pitṛ)، يا محبّي السُّوما، عبر السُّبُل العميقة، السُّبُل القديمة. ثمّ في الشهرِ عودوا إلينا إلى بيوتنا لتأكلوا القُربان—يا ذوي الذرّية الصالحة، يا ذوي الأبطال الصالحين.
