पृथिवीं त्वा पृथिव्यामा वेशयामि देवो नो धाता प्र तिरात्यायुः । परापरैता वसुविद् वो अस्त्वधा मृताः पितृषु सं भवन्तु
pṛthivī́ṃ tvā pṛthivyā́m ā́ veśayāmi devó no dhātā́ prá tirāty ā́yuḥ | párāparaitā́ vasuvíd vo astv ádhā mṛtā́ḥ pitṛ́ṣu sáṃ bhavantu ||
Into Earth, within the Earth, I lay thee down. May Dhātṛ, the God, for us prolong the life. Let this thy passing hence and thither be wealth-finding for you; and then let the dead be gathered wholly among the Fathers.
في الأرض، داخلَ الأرض، أُضْجِعُكَ. لِيُطِلْ لنا دْهاتْر (Dhātṛ)، الإله، العُمر. ولْيَكُنْ ذهابُكَ وإيابُكَ مُوجِدًا للثروة لكم؛ ثم لِيَجْتَمِعِ الموتى جميعًا بين الآباء (Pitṛ).
