Sukta 4
सरस्वतीं पितरो हवन्ते दक्षिणा यज्ञमभिनक्षमाणाः । आसद्यास्मिन् बर्हिषि मादयध्वमनमीवा इष आ धेह्यस्मे
sárasvatī́m pitáro havante dakṣiṇā́ yajñám abhinákṣamāṇāḥ | āsádyāsmín barhíṣi mādayadhvam anamīvā́ íṣa ā́ dhehy asmè ||
Sarasvatī the Fathers call, while the Dakṣiṇā-gifts speed on the Sacrifice to its goal. Having sat you down upon this Barhis, rejoice ye: being free from hurt, set hither for us the powers of nourishment.
سَرَسْوَتِي يدعوها الآباءُ (الپِتَرَه)، بينما عطايا الدَّكْشِنَا تُسْرِعُ باليَجْنَا إلى غايته. فاجلسوا على هذا البَرْهِس وابتهجوا؛ وأنتم سالمون من الأذى، فاثبتوا لنا هنا قوى القوت والتغذية.
