अपूपवान् घृतवांश्चरुरेह सीदतु । लोककृतः पथिकृतो यजामहे ये देवानां हुतभागा इह स्थ

IAST Transliteration

apūpavā́n ghr̥tavā́ṁś carúr eha sī́datu | lokakŕ̥taḥ pathikŕ̥to yajāmahe yé devā́nāṁ hutabhā́gā ihá stha ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Let the cooked oblation, furnished with cake and rich in ghee, sit down here. We sacrifice unto the World-makers, the Path-makers—those who, of the Gods, possess a share in the offered gift—be ye here present.

Translation

فَلْتَجْلِسْ هاهُنا «التَّقْدِمَةُ المَطْبُوخَةُ» (caru)، مُقْتَرِنَةً بِـ«الأَبُوبَا» (apūpa: كَعْكُ القُرْبَان) وغَنِيَّةً بِـ«الغْرِتَا» (ghṛta: السَّمْن/الدُّهْن المُقَدَّس). نُقِيمُ اليَجْنَا لِصَانِعِي العَوَالِمِ، لِصَانِعِي السُّبُلِ—أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَهُمْ مِنْ بَيْنِ الآلِهَةِ نَصِيبٌ فِي القُرْبَانِ المُقَدَّم—فَكُونُوا هاهُنا حَاضِرِينَ.
