Sukta 2
यत् ते प्रजायां पशुषु यद् वा गृहेषु निष्ठितमघकृद्भिरघं कृतम्। अग्निष्ट्वा तस्मादेनसः सविता च प्र मुञ्चताम्
yát te prajā́yāṃ paśúṣu yád vā gṛhéṣu níṣṭhitam aghakṛ́dbhir agháṃ kṛtám | agníṣ ṭvā tásmād énasaḥ savitā́ ca prá muñcatām
What harm, by harm-doers wrought, is lodged within thy offspring, in thy cattle, or established in thy houses—Agni from that, and Savitar likewise, shall loose thee forth from taint of sin.
أيُّ أذًى—يصنعه صانعو الأذى—قد استقرّ في ذريّتك، أو في ماشيتك، أو ثبت في بيوتك؛ فليُطلِقْكَ أغني، وكذلك سافيتار، من تلك الوَصْمَةِ بالإثم.
