Sukta 2

आ वां प्रजां जनयतु प्रजापतिरहोरात्राभ्यां समनक्त्वर्यमा। अदुर्मङ्गली पतिलोकमा विशेमं शं नो भव द्विपदे शं चतुष्पदे

ā́ vāṃ prajā́ṃ janayatu prajā́pátir ahorātrā́bhyāṃ sám anaktu aryamā́ | ádurmaṅgalī patilokám ā́ viśemáṃ śáṃ no bhava dvipáde śáṃ cátuṣpade |

May Prajāpati beget for you two progeny; may Aryaman with day and night anoint you wholly. Un-ill-omened, may I enter the husband’s world: be welfare unto us—welfare to the two-footed, welfare to the four-footed.

ليُنْجِبْ لكما براجاباتي (Prajāpati) ذريةً؛ وليمسحكما أريامان (Aryaman) مسحًا تامًّا بالنهار والليل. بلا شؤمٍ ولا نذير سوء، لعلّي أدخل عالم الزوج؛ كوني لنا سلامةً وخيرًا—خيرًا لذوي القدمين، وخيرًا لذوي الأربع.
