Sukta 2
स्योना भव श्वशुरेभ्यः स्योना पत्ये गृहेभ्यः । स्योनास्यै सर्वस्यै विशे स्योना पुष्टायैषां भव
syónā bhava śváśurebhyaḥ syónā pátye gr̥hébhyaḥ | syónāsyai sárvasyai víśe syónā púṣṭāyaiṣāṃ bhava ||
Be gentle to the fathers-in-law; gentle to thy husband, gentle in the home. Gentle to all this folk, gentle for their thriving—be thou so.
كوني لينةً مع الأحْماء؛ لينةً مع زوجكِ، لينةً في البيت. لينةً مع هذا القوم كلّه؛ لينةً لِنمائهم وازدهارهم—كوني كذلك.
