Sukta 3

उपास्तरीरकरो लोकमेतमुरुः प्रथतामसमः स्वर्गः । तस्मिंछ्रयातै महिषः सुपर्णो देवा एनं देवताभ्यः प्रच्यछान्

úpāstarī́r akaro lokám etám urúḥ práthatām ásamaḥ svargáḥ | tásmiñ chrāyātai mahiṣáḥ supárṇo devā́ enaṃ devátābhyaḥ prácyachān

Thou hast spread beneath and fashioned this ordered world: let Heaven, broad-expanding, peerless, stretch abroad. Thereon let the Buffalo, the Fair-winged, take his station; the Gods have dealt him forth unto the several Deities as portion.

لقد بسطتَ من تحت وصغتَ هذا العالمَ المنتظم؛ فلتنبسطِ السماءُ (Svarga) الواسعةُ الامتداد، التي لا نظير لها. وعلى ذلك فليتخذِ الجاموسُ العظيم (Mahisha)، ذو الجناحين الحسنين (Suparna)، مقامَه؛ وقد قسّمته الآلهةُ نصيبًا على كلِّ إلهةٍ/إلهٍ (Devata).
