Strew new barhis for the rice-dish; let it be dear to heart and lovely to the eye. Thereon let the Gods enter, with the divine Powers beside them; let them partake of this, seated with the ordered Seasons.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (AV 12); specific r̥ṣi varies by anukramaṇī.
Devata: Devas collectively; Daivīs (divine powers/goddesses); Ṛtus (Seasons) as supporting cosmic order.
Chandas: Mixed/expanded meter (often Triṣṭubh-like).
