Sukta 5
sómasya bhāgá sthá | apā́ṃ śukrám ā́po devī́r várcó asmā́su dhatta | prajā́pater vó dhā́mnā́smái lokā́ya sādáye
Ye are Soma’s portion. O bright Ones of the Waters, O Waters, Goddesses, bestow ye splendour upon us. By Prajāpati’s ordinance—by your own established might—do I seat this man in yonder world (his proper realm).
Rishi: Atharvanic/Angirasic (hymn-level).
Devata: Āpaḥ; Soma as named bhāga-recipient; Prajāpati as authorizing power.
Chandas: Atharvanic cadence; practical Anuṣṭubh-like handling.
