víṣṇoḥ krámo ’si sapatná-hā́psu-saṃśitó váruṇa-tejāḥ | apó ’nu ví krame ’hám adbhyás táṃ nír-bhajāmo yó ’smā́n dvéṣṭi yáṃ vayáṃ dvíṣmaḥ | sá mā́ jī́vit táṃ prāṇó jahātu
Thou art the stride of Viṣṇu, a slayer of rivals, whetted in the waters, possessed of Varuṇa’s splendour. Along the waters I stride forth; from the waters we sunder and cast away that man who hateth us, whom we in turn do hate. Let him not live: let breath abandon him.
Rishi: Hymn-level attribution to be confirmed via anukramaṇī collation for AVŚ 10.5.
Devata: Viṣṇu (Kramá) with Varuṇa’s tejas; Ap (waters) as empowered medium; Prāṇa as life-force.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh-like Atharvanic verse; verify by metrical scan in the base text.
