शैलसङ्घातसङ्काशोहरीणामुत्तमोऽङ्गदः ।रराजाङ्गदसन्नद्धस्सधातुरिवपर्वतः ।।।।
śaila-saṅghāta-saṅkāśo harīṇām uttamo ’ṅgadaḥ | rarāja aṅgada-sannaddhaḥ sa-dhātur iva parvataḥ ||
Aṅgada, foremost among the Vānaras, looked like a mass of rock; adorned with armlets, he shone like a mountain streaked with ore.
Angada, the best of the Vanaras, adorned with arm lets resembled masses of rocks and shone like a mountain with metal streaks.
Dharma is supported by inner strength and steadfastness; the imagery signals moral firmness expressed as physical resolve in protecting the righteous side.
