कुम्भकर्णवधः
The Slaying of Kumbhakarna
स्पर्शानिवप्रहारांस्तान्वेद्वयानो न विव्यथे ।।।।ऋषभंतुमहावेगंबाहुभ्यांपरिषस्वजे ।

ṛṣabhaṃ tu mahāvegaṃ bāhubhyāṃ pariṣasvaje ||
Feeling those blows as though they were mere touches, he did not suffer pain; then, with great force, he seized Ṛṣabha in his arms and crushed him in an embrace.
Their attacks were like soft touches to Kumbhakarna, and no pain was experienced by him, and he encircled Rshaba by the shoulders with great impetuosity.
Dharma teaching is indirect: when confronting adharma empowered by brute strength, righteous action must be strategic and coordinated—mere striking without effect is insufficient.
Kumbhakarṇa shrugs off the Vānara blows and instead captures Ṛṣabha with a crushing hold.
On the Vānara side, it is steadfastness; on Kumbhakarṇa’s side, sheer physical dominance is foregrounded.
