समुद्रतट-प्रयाणम् तथा वेलावन-निवेशः
March to the Seacoast and Encampment at the Shore
दूरपारमसम्बाधं रक्षोगणनिषेवितम् ।पश्यन्तो वरुणावासं निषेदुर्हरियूथपाः ।।।।
dūrapāram asambādhaṃ rakṣogaṇaniṣevitam |
paśyanto varuṇāvāsaṃ niṣedur hariyūthapāḥ ||
Beholding Varuṇa’s ocean—its far shore distant, its expanse unbroken, and its waters frequented by hosts of rākṣasas—the leaders of the vanara troops sat down to deliberate.
On seeing the expansive ocean, the vanara army thought 'how to cross the abode of rain god whose shores are far away and not connected and is protected by rakshasas'?
