सागरप्रशमनम् / The Pacification of the Ocean and the Building of Nala’s Bridge
द्वितीयेनतथैचाह्नायोजनानितुविंशतिः ।कृतानिप्लवगैस्तूर्णंभीमकायैर्महाबलैः ।।।।
dvitīyena tathaivāhnā yojanāni tu viṃśatiḥ | kṛtāni plavagais tūrṇaṃ bhīmakāyair mahābalaiḥ ||
Then, on the second day, twenty yojanas were swiftly completed by the plavagas—fearsome in form and mighty in strength.
In the same order the Vanaras of fierce bodies and extremely strong ones soon built twenty yojanas on the second day.
Dharma channels strength toward protection and restoration of order; power becomes virtuous when it serves a righteous end.
The bridge construction continues with increased output: twenty yojanas finished on the second day.
