Salutations to you—terrible in might and heroic; salutations again and again to the One hailed as Sāraṅga. Salutations to the awakener of the lotus; to Mārtaṇḍa (the Sun), salutations be to you.
"Hail to you of terrible form, of valiant one, denoted by the syllable 'AUM'. Namaskar to the awakener of lotuses. Namaskar to the fierce one.
Dharma here is steadfast reverence toward the divine order (ṛta) embodied by the Sun—acknowledging a higher source of strength and clarity before acting.
Agastya instructs Rāma on the Āditya-hṛdaya hymn on the eve of the decisive battle, directing him to worship Sūrya for inner clarity and victory.
Focused devotion and disciplined courage—turning the mind toward a righteous source of power rather than fear or despair.
