Hanuman’s Circuit of Ravana’s Palace and the Crisis of Deliberation
namo ’stu rāmāya sa-lakṣmaṇāya devyai ca tasyai janakātmajāyai |
namo ’stu rudrendrayamānilebhyo namo ’stu candrārkamarudgaṇebhyaḥ ||
Salutations be to Rāma together with Lakṣmaṇa, and to that divine Janaka’s daughter. Salutations be to Rudra, Indra, Yama, and Vāyu; salutations also to the hosts of the Moon, the Sun, and the Maruts.
"Can it be that Mythili, daughter of Janaka, dejected and helpless succumbed to the evil intentions of Ravana.
Dharma is expressed as reverence and accountability to the moral order (devas) and to righteous persons (Rāma, Sītā, Lakṣmaṇa), aligning one’s mission with truth and rightful conduct rather than mere power.
Before proceeding deeper into danger, Hanuman offers salutations to Rāma’s cause and to cosmic guardians, seeking protection and success in the search for Sītā.
Bhakti joined with disciplined purpose: Hanuman’s devotion is not passive; it strengthens resolve for a dharmic mission.
