दूत्यम् / Hanuman’s Mediation and Lakshmana’s Appeal to Sugriva
भिक्षुरूपं परित्यज्य वानरं रूपमास्थितः।पृष्ठमारोप्य तौ वीरौ जगाम कपिकुञ्जरः।।
bhikṣurūpaṃ parityajya vānaraṃ rūpam āsthitaḥ | pṛṣṭham āropya tau vīrau jagāma kapikuñjaraḥ ||
Hanumān—mighty like an elephant among monkeys—cast off the mendicant’s disguise, assumed his true monkey-form, lifted the two heroes onto his back, and set out.
Hanuman, who was an elephant among monkeys, gave up the guise of a mendicant, and assuming the form of the monkeys, lifted both the heroes on to his back and proceeded.
