रामदर्शनार्थं दारानयनम्
The Queens Summoned; Rama’s Leave-Taking and Dasaratha’s Collapse
न च शक्यं मया तात स्थातुं क्षणमपि प्रभो।स शोकं धारयस्वेमं न हि मेऽस्ति विपर्ययः।।।।
na ca śakyaṁ mayā tāta sthātuṁ kṣaṇam api prabho |
sa śokaṁ dhārayasvemaṁ na hi me 'sti viparyayaḥ ||
Nor is it possible for me, father—O lord—to remain here even for a moment. Restrain this grief, for there can be no reversal in my resolve.
It is not possible for me, O father! to stay here for a moment any longer. Restrain your grief. There can be no change in my resolve, O king!
