मानससृष्टिः, रुद्रोत्पत्तिः, मन्वादिवंशः, प्रलयचतुष्टयम्
भृगुं पुलस्त्यं पुलहं क्रतुम् अङ्गिरसं तथा मरीचिं दक्षम् अत्रिं च वसिष्ठं चैव मानसान्
bhṛguṃ pulastyaṃ pulahaṃ kratum aṅgirasaṃ tathā marīciṃ dakṣam atriṃ ca vasiṣṭhaṃ caiva mānasān
婆利古、普罗拉斯提耶、普罗罗诃、克罗图、安吉罗萨;以及摩利支、达克沙、阿特里、婆悉吒——这些意生的生主(Prajāpati),奉毗湿奴至上法令而出,以建立创造展开的秩序。

They function as primordial progenitors whose spiritual and genealogical lines structure the world—linking cosmology to the later histories of gods, sages, and royal dynasties.
He lists the foundational rishis/prajāpatis as emanations that establish continuity—creation is not random, but an intelligible order unfolding through designated progenitors.
Even when Viṣṇu is not named in the verse, the Purāṇic framework presents these progenitors as operating within His supreme ordinance—creation and lineage ultimately depend on the Highest Reality.
