juhvānasya brahmaṇo vai prajāsarga ihocyate pūrvaṃ yatra tu saptarṣīn utpannān sapta mānasān
此处叙述正在行供献的梵天(Brahmā)所作的众生繁衍;而在该叙事之初,先说到七位圣仙(Ṛṣi)——由其意念所生的七位心生贤者。
Sage Parāśara (speaking to Maitreya)
Creation Stage: Secondary
Concept: Prajāsarga proceeds through Brahmā’s yajña-like creative act, with the Saptarṣis first arising as mānasa progenitors of order and knowledge.
Vedantic Theme: Dharma
Application: Treat knowledge, discipline, and ritual intentionality as ‘creative’ forces—begin any undertaking by establishing wise counsel and right intention.
Vishishtadvaita: Creation is presented as purposive and ordered (not accidental), aligning with a theistic cosmos where intelligence and dharma precede proliferation.
They are presented as the first major sage-lineage arising from Brahmā’s mind, becoming foundational transmitters of dharma, Vedic knowledge, and cosmic order in creation narratives.
He frames creation as an ordered emanation from Brahmā, beginning with the emergence of mind-born sages—an intellectual/spiritual origination rather than merely physical generation.
Even when Brahmā is described as creating, the Vishnu Purana’s larger theology places Vishnu as the supreme ground of reality and sovereignty, with Brahmā functioning within that divinely sustained cosmic order.
