有些人被穿过鼻孔的绳子拖着走;有些人被拉着皮肤。有些人的脸颊被割开,用绳子拖着;同样,有些人被拉着嘴唇拖着走。
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Kālabhairava
Cosmic Event: nāraka-yātanā: bodily piercing/tearing as karmic fruit
It depicts the harsh compulsion of bondage (pāśa): when the soul (paśu) is driven by karma and ignorance, it is dragged helplessly into suffering—implying the need to seek Pati (Shiva) for release and grace.
The verse contrasts helpless bondage with the refuge of Saguna Shiva worship (Linga-upāsanā): devotion, mantra, and right conduct turn the mind toward Shiva, who loosens pāśa and leads the devotee toward liberation.
A practical takeaway is to adopt Shaiva discipline—daily remembrance of Shiva through Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), along with purity and restraint—so karma-driven compulsion is replaced by conscious surrender to Shiva.
