Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
It establishes the authoritative presence of realized Mahārṣis—ideal witnesses and transmitters of Shaiva knowledge—through whom Shiva-tattva and the path to liberation are preserved and taught.
By naming the great sages, the text signals a traditional Shaiva transmission: the same rishis uphold scriptural methods of Saguna Shiva worship (Linga-upāsanā) that gradually mature the seeker toward realizing Shiva beyond limitation.
The implied practice is śravaṇa (devout listening) and guru-paramparā-based study of Shiva Purana teachings, supported by steady japa of the Panchākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as preserved by the rishis.
