Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Ardhanārīśvara
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Umā
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
It directs the devotee to unite outer worship (flower offering) with inner contemplation of Pati (Śiva) together with His inseparable Śakti, indicating that grace and liberation arise from honoring their non-dual unity.
The verse supports Saguna-upāsanā: the worshipper visualizes the radiant Lord within a consecrated maṇḍala and remembers Śiva with Śakti, a common Shaiva Purana method for focusing the mind during linga-pūjā and related rites.
Offer flowers with reverence and meditate on Śiva’s luminous form together with the left-half beloved (Śakti/Ardhanārī), using steady visualization as the mind’s anchor during pūjā and japa (such as the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
