噢,安比迦,当知此布置自伊沙那(Īśāna)方起,延展至瓦耶毗耶(Vāyavya)隅。如此,噢,帕尔瓦蒂,我已为你宣说建立神圣曼荼罗的正当法则。
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Shakti Form: Ambikā
Role: teaching
It sanctifies worship by aligning the devotee’s ritual space with Śiva’s cosmic order—beginning from Īśāna (a Śaiva auspicious quarter) and completing the full directional circuit, making the maṇḍala a fit seat for invoking Pati (Śiva) and receiving grace.
A maṇḍala is a structured, Saguna support for devotion: it prepares a purified and directionally ordered seat for the Liṅga or Śiva’s invoked presence, so the external rite mirrors inner concentration and reverence.
Prepare the worship area by marking a maṇḍala and honoring directions in sequence (from Īśāna onward), then perform Śiva-pūjā with mantra-japa (such as the Pañcākṣarī) while keeping the mind steady within that sacred boundary.
