罗伽婆啊,当知我言真实:她不可被任意“吞噬”或制服;纵使诸天与阿修罗同来,连因陀罗在内,也不能无罪无患地加害于她。
'O long-armed Rama, take these words of mine as true. Your consort cannot be absorbed with impunity even by the denizens of heaven including Indra or the ogres on earth any more than food cooked with poison.Give up grief.
Satya as dharma: Sugriva stakes his credibility on truth to steady Rama’s mind. Dharma also includes preserving morale for righteous action rather than surrendering to despair.
Sugriva reassures Rama of Sita’s inherent spiritual and moral inviolability, implying that evil cannot ultimately ‘digest’ her.
Sugriva’s truthfulness and supportive counsel—he acts as a dharmic friend who strengthens resolve.
