Svayamprabha’s Dialogue with the Vanaras
वीरस्तस्य सखा राज्ञस्सुग्रीवो नाम वानरः।राजा वानरमुख्यानां येन प्रस्थापिता वयम्।।4.52.6।।
vīras tasya sakhā rājñaḥ sugrīvo nāma vānaraḥ | rājā vānaramukhyānāṃ yena prasthāpitā vayam ||
那位王的朋友是一位名为须伽利婆的英雄——猿众之王、诸首领之主;正是他差遣我们前来执行此行。
'Rama, son of Dasaratha, a prosperous king of all the worlds, comparable to Indra and Varuna came to the Dandaka forest along with his brother Laksmana and wife Vaidehi. Ravana abducted his wife from Janasthana.
Dharma appears as loyal duty within rightful alliance: Sugrīva, as leader, responsibly dispatches his people; the vānaras act under command for a just cause.
Hanumān introduces Sugrīva as Rāma’s ally and explains that the search-party has been sent out under Sugrīva’s authority.
Leadership and fidelity: Sugrīva’s role as organizer and the vānaras’ obedience to mission reflect disciplined collective action.
