कस्यैते काञ्चना वृक्षास्तरुणादित्यसन्निभाः।।4.51.4।।शुचीन्यभ्यवहार्याणि मूलानि च फलानि च।काञ्चनानि विमानानि राजतानि गृहाणि च।।4.51.5।।तपनीयगवाक्षाणि मणिजालावृतानि च।
kasyaitē kāñcanā vṛkṣās taruṇādityasannibhāḥ || 4.51.4 || śucīny abhyavahāryāṇi mūlāni ca phalāni ca |
这些金色的树木,灿然如初升之日,究竟属于谁?这些洁净可食、甘美可口的根与果,又是为谁而备?
'We are exhausted with thirst and hunger. We are fatigued. (Hence) we entered this dark cave all at once(without waiting for permission).
Respect for rightful possession: before consuming or taking, one asks “whose is this?”—a dharmic instinct against appropriation.
Inside the cave, the vanaras see miraculous golden trees and abundant edible roots and fruits and ask the ascetic about their owner and purpose.
Self-restraint—curiosity is paired with the ethical question of ownership and permission.
