那婆梨心怀恶念,六根躁乱,欲置我于死地;他怒火炽盛,携诸臣追逐我这逃奔之人。
'The evil-minded Vali, having lost his self-control, ran after me in anger, to kill me and my ministers. I kept running.
Dharma requires mastery of anger and senses; when krodha governs, violence and injustice follow, as shown by Vālī’s murderous pursuit.
Sugrīva describes being chased by Vālī, who intends to kill him, explaining the background of his exile and fear.
The implied virtue is self-restraint; its absence in Vālī becomes the moral warning.
