वानरसेनामिलनम् / The Mustering of the Vanara Hosts
ततो नगेन्द्रसङ्काशैस्तीक्ष्णदंष्ट्रैर्महाबलैः।कृत्स्ना सञ्छादिता भूमिरसङ्ख्येयैः प्लवङ्गमैः।।4.39.10।।निमेषान्तरमात्रेण ततस्तैर्हरियूथपैः।कोटीशतपरीवारैः कामरूपिभिरावृता।।4.39.11।।नादेयैः पार्वतीयैश्च सामुद्रैश्च महाबलैः।हरिभिर्मेघनिर्ह्रादैरन्यैश्च वनचारिभिः।।4.39.12।।तरुणादित्यवर्णैश्च शशिगौरैश्च वानरैः।पद्मकेसरवर्णैश्च श्वेतैर्मेरुकृतालयैः।।4.39.13।।
nimeṣāntaramātreṇa tatas tair hariyūthapaiḥ |
koṭīśataparīvāraiḥ kāmarūpibhir āvṛtā || 4.39.11 ||
几乎只在一眨眼之间,此处便被诸猴军统领充满;他们周围簇拥着百亿随从,皆能随意变现形貌。
In a minute, the entire land was crowded with innumerable powerful monkeys of the size of mountains having sharp fangs.The monkey leaders with a hundred crore monkey followers, who could assume any form at their will mighty monkeys from the mountains, rivers and seas vanaras thundering like clouds and other free vanaras who were wanderers vanaras red in colour like the rising Sun, tawny coloured ones like the Moon some who were of the hue of white lotus filaments and some vanaras residing in mount Meru came there.
Dharma is swift responsiveness to a rightful call: power and special abilities (like kāmarūpa) are shown as instruments for service to truth and justice, not for vanity.
The monkey commanders arrive with vast retinues almost instantly, indicating the scale and urgency of the coming search for Sītā.
Prompt obedience and coordinated leadership—troops rally around their chiefs without delay.
