evaṃ sambodhitas tatra śokopahatacetanaḥ | tyajya śokaṃ ca mohaṃ ca tato dhairyam upāgamat ||
Thus persuaded by Lakshmana, Rama who was hitherto besieged by grief and delusion, could set them aside and regain patience.
Dharma is sustained by dhairya (fortitude): one must overcome grief-born delusion to act rightly and truthfully in pursuit of duty.
After Lakshmana’s counsel, Rama’s emotional turmoil subsides; he returns to steadiness so the search and next actions can proceed.
Rama’s resilience—his ability to recover clarity and patience after being shaken by sorrow.
