Ayodhya Return, Bridal Reception, and Bharata’s Departure
ततस्सीतां महाभागामूर्मिलां च यशस्विनीम्।कुशध्वजसुते चोभे जगृहुर्नृपपत्नय:।।1.77.12।।
tatas sītāṃ mahā-bhāgām ūrmilāṃ ca yaśasvinīm |
kuśadhvaja-sute cobhe jagṛhur nṛpa-patnayaḥ || 1.77.12 ||
随后,王后们迎接了福德具足的悉多与声名卓著的乌尔弥罗,并迎接了俱舍陀婆阇的两位女儿。
The king and his kith and kin were received with honour in a pleasing manner. Kausalya, Sumitra and Kaikeyi of slender waist and other women attending on the king were busy in receiving the new brides.
Dharma is dignified inclusion: welcoming daughters-in-law with honor establishes right relationship (saṃbandha) and stability in family life.
The queens formally receive Sītā, Ūrmilā, and Kuśadhvaja’s two daughters into Ayodhyā’s royal household.
Respectful conduct (ācāra) and warmth within the royal family.
