Trishanku’s Bodily Ascent and the New Constellations
एवमुक्तो महेन्द्रेण त्रिशङ्कुरपतत्पुन:।।।।विक्रोशमानस्त्राहीति विश्वामित्रं तपोधनम्।
evam ukto mahendreṇa triśaṅkur apatat punaḥ | vikrośamānas trāhīti viśvāmitraṃ tapodhanam ||
被大因陀罗如此斥责,特里商库又开始坠落,呼号“救我!”向苦行之财的毗湿瓦密多求援。
Thus spoken to by Indra, Trisanku crying, "O Viswamitra, Protect me, Protect me" started falling down.
It emphasizes śaraṇāgati (seeking refuge) and the expectation that one who has granted protection—especially a sage—will uphold it in truth and responsibility.
After Indra’s rejection, Triśaṅku begins to fall from heaven and urgently appeals to Viśvāmitra for rescue.
Triśaṅku’s dependence on his protector and Viśvāmitra’s recognized spiritual power (tapodhana).
