विशालानगरीप्रवेशः
Entry toward Viśālā and the Indra–Kṣīrodamathana Legend
अथ तस्य कृते राम महानासीत्कुलक्षय:।अदितेस्तु तत: पुत्रा दिते: पुत्रानसूदयन्।।।।
atha tasya kṛte rāma mahān āsīt kulakṣayaḥ |
adites tu tataḥ putrā diteḥ putrān asūdayan ||
于是,罗摩啊,为了那甘露,发生了巨大的族系覆灭;其后,阿底提之子诛杀了底提之子。
O Rama! the race of devatas and daityas suffered great destruction because of (their fight for) that nectar. Thereafter Aditi's sons, the devatas killed Diti's sons, the daityas.
Attachment to coveted rewards can lead to kulakṣaya (social collapse); Dharma warns that uncontrolled desire (lobha) destroys communities and must be governed by restraint and justice.
After the emergence of amṛta, devas and asuras fight for it, causing immense destruction; the devas (Aditi’s sons) ultimately kill the daityas (Diti’s sons).
Sobriety and self-governance: the implied virtue is to avoid letting ambition for power or immortality override moral order.
