विशालानगरीप्रवेशः
Entry toward Viśālā and the Indra–Kṣīrodamathana Legend
तस्य सा शर्वरी सर्वा सह सौमित्रिणा तदा।जगाम चिन्तयानस्य विश्वामित्रकथां शुभाम् ।।।।
tasya sā śarvarī sarvā saha saumitriṇā tadā |
jagāma cintayānasya viśvāmitrakathāṃ śubhām ||
于是罗摩与娑弥多利(罗什曼那)同在,整夜沉浸于对毗湿瓦密多吉祥叙述的思惟之中。
Having heard these words, the controller of the sense organs, Visnu, assumed the form of a tortoise reclined in the ocean supporting the mountain on its back.
Dharma is supported by attentive listening and thoughtful reflection: Rāma spends the night contemplating a sacred teaching, showing that wisdom is gained not only by hearing but by internalizing it.
After hearing Viśvāmitra’s auspicious account, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa remain mentally engaged with it through the night.
Rāma’s seriousness and receptivity to instruction—disciplined contemplation (manana) and reverence for truthful, dharmic teaching.
